Art Weekend Exhibition and Auction – 25th and 26th April 2026

On Saturday, 25^th April and Sunday 26^th April 2026, we are holding our second Art Exhibition and Auction in St Nicolas Church and also in the Village Hall at Hail Weston, from 11.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10.00a.m. to 3.15 p.m. on Sunday where there will be a wonderful opportunity to purchase a wide range of original artworks, prints and cards by some very talented local artists.

The Weekend will conclude with an Auction of six original paintings, including one very special limited edition lithograph by HRH The Prince of Wales (now King Charles III) which comes with full provenance, and one of Hail Weston by Stanley Orchart, amongst them – all of which have been very generously donated by the following: Mrs Val Matthews (on behalf of the late Terry Matthews), Christine Walkden, and Norman and June Hamilton. The Auction will take place at 3.30 p.m. in the Church on Sunday and will be conducted by Andrew Wager, senior auctioneer at Bletsoes, Thrapston.

The St. Nicolas Restoration Group (SNRG) are commencing the next phase of their project which includes updating the audio-visual equipment in the building.

Consultation with Audiologists within the NHS indicate hearing aids compatible with induction loops will no longer be offered in the near future and replaced by units that use Bluetooth connection.

As a consequence SNRG are asking hearing aid users what they use to help inform what their solution should be. Is a hearing induction loop still required within the church?

Could you therefore answer 2 quick questions in the attached survey? And return those answers as requested?

Summer Camp 2026

The camp is going ahead this year, for young people from the age of 6 to 14 years old; between Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd July inclusive. The closing date for registering and paying a deposit is 31st May 2026

PLEASE NOTE: this camp is only open to families in the Staughtons, Perry & Hail Weston villages or who have a connection to one of our churches: St. Andrew’s – Great Staughton, St. Nicolas – Hail Weston or All Saints – Little Staughton.

In addition families in the South and West Leightonstone benefices can participate this year

As in previous years some of the activities will be led by Grafham Water Centre

Parents and guardians will need to drop off at 9.30am and collect at 4.30pm and provide a packed lunch (please no nuts, peanuts or peanut butter in case of nut allergies)

Epiphany Party at St. Andrew’s

Join us at St. Andrew’s to celebrate the arrival of the three Kings on Saturday 10th January

Come and seek Jesus with the 3 Kings at St. Andrew’s, Great Staughton from 10.00am – 12.00pm

Craft activities, such as making a crown, refreshments and entertainment including singing and a puppet performance from Ministry in Puppetry.

Free of charge, but any donations to support the event and our Benefice gratefully received.
