St. Nicolas Churchyard open to visitors

Following a meeting with the contractor, we are now able to re-open St Nicolas churchyard to members of the public who either wish to carry out work in the churchyard or to visit the graves of loved ones.

The contractor has requested that people remain outside the Harris Fencing for safety, but, as most of the excavations are now complete, they are happy to permit the re-opening of the churchyard again.

There is still a trench arch to be dug, but that will take place within the safety of the Harris fencing.

Visitors are also asked to take care when deliveries of materials occur for the church restoration but, once again, these will be less frequent now than in the past.
